The Work - Fresh

FIFA Street III

Below you will find a viral created for the FIFA Street III which leads to the WK created fifastreet3.com.

The viral was seeded globally as part of a TV, Print, OOH and Digital campaign for the latest instalment of the fifa Street 3 franchise that launched at the end of February.  By the time the game launched the viral had 6million+ views and had also been featured on CNN, “La Jugada” (Televisa Deportes) in Mexico, and Sky Sports in Europe.  Views are currently approaching 10million...

As veiws of the viral grew so did an online debate regarding where the line between what was real and what was fake was.  Adding fuel to that fire, WK and EA worked quickly to release this PR film featuring interviews with Team Ryoko (the trick masters behind the film).  It was quickly picked up by several TV stations around the world.

We'll leave it to you to decide where the line is drawn...

Can You FIFA 08?

Our new integrated campaign for EA FIFA 08 covers print, TV, banners, emails and a rather nifty website.  It involved three TV shoots, three digital shoots and four print shoots taking place across 3 countries: Czech Republic, UK and Brazil.  Phew!

The campaign features Ronaldinho BBQing in a samba hall, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Ramos playing a spot of golf and Miroslave Klose getting a suit fitted with Franck Ribery.

Copywriter Mikey Farr explains: "The idea was to challenge the players with spectacular goals created by the gamers and essentially say to them, 'Hey, I know you're an international football superstar but can you create a goal as good as this?'  Hence the line, 'Can You FIFA 08?'"

'Can You FIFA 08?' was created by CD Eric Quennoy and Interactive Creative Director Joakim Borgstrom, with copywriter, Mikey Farr and art director, Craig Melchiano.  TV and digital spots were directed by Sven Super with photography by Sacha Waldman

Happiness Factory - The Movie

We thought it was business as usual.

Until someone came up with the idea of making 'Happiness Factory 2' following the worldwide success of our initial foray into the animated world of a Coca-Cola vending machine.

And so here you have it - after ten months of work and more than 50 3D animators, we bring 'Happiness Factory - The Movie' to life.  Our Producer, Sandy, was in work mode 24 hours a day, seven days a week the entire time (except when on planes or, as Sandy now calls them, 'flying beds'), but there were many true delights along this epic journey.

Here's the result: a 3'30" film which, like every other beloved movie, has a trailer and a couple of killer posters.  We're proud of it.

Enough said.  Check it out below and on Coke's website

World of Coca-Cola

If you go to Atlanta, Georgia in the USA you should visit the totally reinvented World Of Coca-Cola. Here you'll see 120 years' of Coke memorabilia, a fully functioning bottling line, a gallery exploring Coke's influence on pop culture and this 10-minute documentary that we made with the help of Psyop.

Old Spice Kilimanjaro

More work with an African theme, but these spots are for Old Spice and they're actually running in eastern Europe and Russia. Continuing the theme of the experienced man (as defined by Portland's Old Spice work) this campaign promotes a new line of products called 'Kilimanjaro' and they were directed by Brian Lee Hughes.

Just Do It South Africa

We're very proud to announce our first Nike campaign for South Africa. Here's the lowdown:

"Athletes who have overcome their obstacles by playing and excelling in sport, are calling on all South Africans to make a written pledge to use their body as a weapon, and to use sport as a means of effecting positive and meaningful change in their lives and in their communities.

The campaign poses the question ‘What’s Your Fight?’ – members of the public can pledge their support in writing and tell their story on www.justdoit.co.za. In so doing, they will become part of Nike’s national movement.

It is commonly known that South Africa is a land of a thousand fights. Every day, people are trying to overcome the battle of poverty, crime, abuse, disability or inequality.

It is also known that South Africans are passionate about sport – watching it, playing it. Sport brings people joy. It inspires, it motivates, and it provides hope for a better future.

And if the athletes featured in Nike’s campaign, such as Benni McCarthy (football), Portia Modise (women’s football), Ashwin Willemse (rugby) and Oscar Pistorius (track athlete - sprint) can overcome poverty, drugs, crime and disability to become the leading sportsmen and women of our country, then anything is possible."

The TV spot was directed by Joaquin Baca-Asay. Download more spots here.

The print work was shot by Carlos Serrao.

BACKSTROKE

Ayse: "It was a great shoot. First we thought we were going to hang the athlete in the air, then Carlos Serrao (the photographer) suggested that she jump on the trampoline and we capture her easily while she is in the air. The athlete kept doing that for 5 hours non stop. 5 hours!! Her legs were big and sweaty at the end. The blow-up doll was to see where the shadow was going to fall. We had a lot of fun with that doll on the set, I don’t think it would be appropriate to tell these stories here." Shame.
